Bethesda YTH is the Middle School and High School ministry of Bethesda Church. We are committed to leading students to become fully devoted disciples of Jesus! We do that in a variety of ways! Scroll down to find out more!
What we do: For students in 7th-12th grade, we meet Sunday nights starting at 6:16 pm to have fun, build relationships, and point students to Jesus. We start in the gym by having supper together, followed by a game time. We then move into the fellowship hall where we worship together, have teaching on the bible, and then break up into age specific small groups.
Where we meet: Bethesda Church Activity Center located at 1530 Frank Ave SE.
What we do: Sunday mornings during our 9am hour, we have Middle School and High School meet separately for in-depth study on the bible and Christian life.
Where we meet: 7th-8th meet in room 103. 9th-12th meet in room 201.
Every year in early November we take our teens to CDYC (Central District Youth Conference). It is a youth conference hosted by the Central District of our denomination. It is always a good time to get away from our “normal” life and be challenged by God to evaluate our relationship to Him!
We do a missions trip every summer that our youth are encouraged to go on. In the past years we have done multiple trips to inner city Chicago, overseas trips to Japan & Thailand as well as a “local” trip to the Porcupine Reservation here in SD! These trips are important for teens to get out of their comfort zone, rely on God & stretch their faith!
We are very blessed to have a great Christian summer camp just 20 miles north of Huron! We do our best to encourage our teens to go to Byron Bible Camp! They have camps for kids from 3rd grade through high school. They also offer a backpacking trip & a water sports camp every year. Byron Bible Camp is also a great opportunity for our teens to serve as counselors and serve the younger generations. They also offer a weekend retreat in the winter for teens!
