Pastor Andy Burau is a native of Germany and completed his undergraduate studies in Biblical Studies there. Following God’s leading, he relocated to Texas to study Biblical Counseling at Southwestern Seminary, where he completed a Master’s degree and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. focused on the spiritual dynamics of partner abuse. Before joining the staff at Bethesda, Andy completed a four-year church internship in Texas.

Andy has been married to his wife, Anna, for 12 years. Together they have four children: Joline, Livia, Lennard, and John. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading, watching soccer, and playing musical instruments. Andy is passionate about helping people grow in their relationship with God through pastoral care and discipleship. His life verse is Psalm 18:1–2: “I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”
